International Programmes at Knutsford Graduate School

Programme Overview/Aim

Current and emerging global business competition necessitates students who aspire to be organizational leaders and managers to look for training and education that equip business executives with the right competencies required to deal with the complex and constantly changing market needs of consumers and societies. Graduates must, therefore, be broadly knowledgeable and yet, except in specific fields of interest in order to analyze specific problems deeply and make intelligent, cost-effective decisions. The Knutsford Master of Business Administration is uniquely designed to provide a holistic business education for graduates. The programme bridges the gap between the traditional generalist and specialist approach to the training of business executives and leaders. This combination allows graduates to enjoy all the advantages of generalist and specialist courses thereby, increasing students’ confidence, competence and preparation for industry. Wide range of elective subjects grouped in subject areas optional to students allow in-depth knowledge and skills to be built in functional or subject areas of interest in addition to the broad core common courses prescribed for all students. The first semester of the first year of the programme immerses students in business Psychology, Sociology, Philosophy, Economics, Quantitative Analysis, Communication, Legal, Ethical, and Governance foundation to build critical thinking and analytical skills, communication skills, legal skills, leadership and ethical behaviour in students. The second and the third semesters of Year One and Year Two build on the foundation acquired in semester One. In these semesters broad core business and management courses are introduced to equip students with key knowledge in business and management. Students, therefore, acquire the broad generalist skills needed to stay relevant and competitive in the changing environment. The last semester i.e. Semester Two of the Second Year gives student opportunities to select from a wide range of elective courses grouped in twenty subject and functional areas. This Section allows students to develop in-depth knowledge and expertise in any chosen field of interest. Students can also customize their studies from the over 90 elective courses to fit their specific needs.

Objectives of the Programme

The objectives of the Master of Business Administration are to:

Demonstrate the abilities of utilizing business and management principles and methods to solve societal problems.
Research, incubate knowledge and disseminate research findings to build the nation.
Develop entrepreneurs and innovators to create and expand jobs openings.
Identify ethical issues for moral living.
Develop critical thinkers to solve societal challenges.
Provide the foundation for further graduate studies.
Produce the needed middle and top-level manpower personnel for managerial roles in the public and private sectors.

The office is essentially responsible for implementing Internationalization Programmes; we seek to accomplish this goal through developing and managing international partnerships and collaborations with schools and Institutions globally. The department mandated for the following areas:

Responsible for managing all scheduled visits from our international partner institutions and associations and student exchange programmes. Improving on the international image of Knutsford by identifying and maintaining contacts from across the globe regarding opportunities for international partnerships.

Collaborate with institutions in different parts of the world to identify and develop opportunities for partnership and cooperation.

Work with various departments of Knutsford Schools in developing their individual international partnerships.

Resources for Exchange Students

The Knutsford University Schools welcomes visiting foreign exchange students from across the globe. We are committed to helping you achieve the most out of your study and ensuring a positive and valuable experience here at Knutsford.

Knutsford University's School has academic partnerships with top universities and schools around Africa and the world at large. Students from partner institutions who have been selected (nominated) to participate in the exchange are eligible to apply to any of our Knutsford Schools. Please consult with the International Office at your institution to determine your eligibility for this student exchange programme.

Once you have been selected (nominated) by your institution to participate in the student exchange programme, please complete and submit an online application form and accompanying documents. After the application has been accepted, you will receive an I-20 form (for visa acquisition only) for use in securing a student visa to Ghana.

How to Apply
Once you have been formally "nominated" by your home institution, you may apply for the Exchange Programme. Please complete the Incoming Exchange Student Application. If you are applying for the Double Degree programme (degree-seeking), please complete the Double Degree application options.

To apply for the Exchange Programme - complete the online registration and incoming Exchange Student Application form. You will be charged an application fee. Please check your nomination acceptance letter provided by Knutsford University for instructions on how to apply.

Knutsford University is currently in collaboration with (), an accredited school to deliver Master in Business Administration. The programme is taught by academics from (#)School with the support of the Department's institution of Knutsford. Application for 2020 admission is currently ongoing.

Scholarships

Knutsford scholarship is available for Ghanaian students requiring financial aid. The award is based on financial need, academic merit and achievements.

Financial Assistance

Financial Aid
Financial aid is provided ‘as and when’ the aid is available.
Students would be informed of all available aid and of the criteria for accessing them. It is the student’s responsibility to apply for such aid. Financial aid provided by the college is strictly for tuition and is not refundable under any circumstance. Students may contact the Students Services Office for details.
Types of Financial Aid Programme
SSNIT Students Loan
Ghanaian students interested in study loans can access the SSNIT student loans provided by the Government of Ghana through SSNIT. Interested students may contact the Students Services Office for details.
